At Eaton School, we follow the National Curriculum for Mathematics and work alongside Mathematics Consultants to ensure the best possible teaching and learning in Mathematics.  We aim to develop children's confidence in Mathematics and do this through building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts, a fluent grasp of place value and number facts (including times tables) and also the ability to apply these to problem solving and reasoning based activities.  We immerse our children in a range of Mathematics to ensure their understanding is broad and deep, through a range of varied activities.  Each day, we revisit key number facts to ensure children are fluent and confident in these, whilst also covering our new learning objectives.  At Eaton School, we are so proud of the enthusiasm our children have for Mathematics.
