Handwriting
At Eaton, handwriting is taught daily. In Early Years and Key Stage 1 there is a focus on developing letter formation using the Read Write Inc phrases. When the children are ready they move to joining letters. In Key Stage 2 children will be practising spellings within their handwriting. Spelling words are chosen from: spelling patterns, statutory spellings, topic words, commonly misspelled words and vocabulary linked to Pathways to Write.
