P.E. at Eaton
At Eaton Primary School, our vision is for all children to engage in a variety of physical education, school sport and physical activity. This will inspire them to become active, healthy individuals, who have opportunities to participate
and achieve success both individually and as part of a team.
Our PE curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils develop the fundamental skills and competence to excel in a wide range of physical activities by providing a broad and balanced curriculum with opportunities for all to be enjoyed.
Our high quality PE curriculum will enable pupils to learn about themselves, the importance of a healthy lifestyle, self-expression and concepts such fair play and respect. This will also promote the development of important skills such as decision making, social skills, teamwork and communication.
Our PE curriculum is inclusive and ensures that pupils of all abilities can access the activities we offer. There will also be opportunities for pupils to take on leadership roles in which they can build character and embed values such as fairness and respect.
At Eaton we actively promote a programme of intra and inter school competitions, which aims to provide all children the opportunity to participate in competitive sports and activities both in and beyond the curriculum. By developing our links to outside agencies, clubs and within the Sandstone trust we aim to to promote positive sporting relationships within the community.
